Christmas is approaching, with Christmas Eve 2 days away on the Sunday this year. Christmas Day celebrates Jesus Christ’s birth and has evolved into a time of year when families and friends get together, decorate their homes, enjoy a special meal and exchange gifts. Boxing Day is the day after Christmas Day and is usually a prime time for shopping thanks to Boxing Day sales. Also, at the end of December is Kwanzaa; a week long holiday honoring the culture and traditions of African people and their descendants worldwide. It begins on December 26 until January 1. To end the year is New Year’s Eve, a time to reflect and party.
