It has grown by an average of 6.5% yearly in this time frame. In 2013, it is estimated that the total language market was nearly $35 billion in sales. The growth from 2009 to 2013 alone has been impressive, from $23.5 Billion to where it is now. This is about a 50% increase in this time span.
Just like in the rest of the world, the language services market share continues to grow here in the U.S. With about 36% of the global market, revenues in North America are expected to exceed 13 billion in 2014 with the vast majority being in the U.S. The other main world markets are in Europe and Asia. The EU represents about 49% and Asia 11% respectively.
